We’ve always been great fans of Jack London’s hip collections, including his modern and edgy suits. Described as evoking “an unrestrained street cool and strength” (an ideal goal for a nervous groom!), Jack London’s suits range from traditional black to a fresh blueberry purple and everything in-between. Inspired and influenced by the 1950’s seashore of England, the latest collection will leave the gents feeling just a little rock star. Opening the gates for those not able to visit their boutiques, JL is launching an online store in August this year. It was a star-studded affair when supermodel Kate Moss married her long-time partner Jamie Hince in a church ceremony Southrop, England over the weekend. In a gown designed for her by her friend John Galliano, Kate looked ever the glowing bride, attended by four bridesdmaids and 15 flowergirls, one of which was her daughter Lila Grace. Jamie opted for a powder blue custom-made Yves Saint Laurent suit that oozed rocker style. The guest list for the celebration was huge with Galliano himself attending, along with Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, Lara Stone with husband David Williams, Carine Roitfeld, Jude Law, Naomi Campbell and Kelly Osborne. Never to shy away from a party Moss reportedly changed into three separate Stella McCartney looks for the reception including a single-breasted white wool suit for her going away outfit. There's one Haute Couture show in particular that I look forward to every time and it's the show of Elie Saab. It never ceases to amaze me how Mr Saab can produce, without fail, a simply breathtaking show with gowns that are ultra-feminine, sexy, classic and soft. This year he worked with a very neutral palette of off whites, creams, nudes, soft chocolates and light gold, mixed with touches of navy. With plunging necklines, embellished and embroidered fabrics, the softest of tulle and floaty skirts it's no wonder he's one of the most sought after designers to dress leading ladies for red carpet events and weddings. Elie Saab Bridal is available in Australia at Samantha Wynne, in Western Australia. Visit www.eliesaab.com to learn more about his work. It's worth visiting the website if not just to watch the intro. Spectacular!

Although we're in the depths of our winter here in Australia I couldn't help but love this vibrant and oh-so summery cake by Kelly Cakes, found on the blog Style Me Pretty. What we wouldn't do for a slither of this! Yum!

The Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2011/12 shows saw a few key trends emerge for the coming season. Elaborate fabrics and embellishments are always forefront however key accessories and colour trends burst onto the scene. This season the standout colours, thanks to Giambattista Valli and Valentino, were the richest of reds and vibrant peach. Gowns with capes, drapes and billowing hems stood out like sore thumbs, red is the hottest of commidities right now. Mixed with a palette of stark white and the jet black it's a colour combination worthy of a fabulous party. Bridal fashion will most definitley take a cue from the autumn/winter's Haute Couture Collections. Here's hoping a feminine cape in the most gorgeous of laces makes a trip down the isle. Visit www.vogue.com.au for all the collection details and pictures.

Photographer Stewart Leishman has teamed up with florist Muesli and Yogurt to do a styling shoot showcasing beautiful flowers with stunning photography. Here are the results!

One of our favourite weddings we've featured in our winter issue (on sale now!) is that of the gorgeous Zoe Chen & John Lee. Shot by Jose Villa, the wedding is vibrant, relaxed and full of fun and unique styling ideas. We loved the couples seating chart printed on a gorgeous array of coloured and patterned papers. We also adored their paper rosettes, designed so guests knew who was friends with the bride and who was friends with the groom. John even illustrated the cute image of Zoe & himself and Zoe loved them so much they were incorporated in to many aspects of their day. We think this wedding proves that a relaxed and fun wedding can still be big on ideas and neat aspects. Choosing a few key colours will then help to tie even the simplest of ideas together making the day one your guests will remember for years to come. To view more of Jose's fabulous and inspiring work visit his website at www.josevillaphoto.com.
